It’s the weekend !!!!!
Smiley Saturday is brought to you by the Lovely Lightening.
If you want to join in here’s how.
To be honest, it has been a bit of a pig of a week.
I have received abusive phone calls, 3 of which on Thursday night, left me feeling physically ill. I can not/will not/choose not to share too much about it at this stage until it is over.
That being said, I have received incredible support, both prayerfully and emotionally from people, both online and IRL. Mr S worked from home on Friday, just to ‘be here.’ It is times like this, I realise how incredibly blessed I am with the people I have in my life.
Celtic Dingo was named Player of the Day in the last soccer match last Saturday. That gave him such a boost. I am so proud of how he has continued to try. There have been tears and tantrums, but he has really put in an effort.
WGO ~ Bahahahaha, where does that child get her ideas from ???
Firstly, Mr S took WGO to the supermarket.
WGO was in the trolley and saw all these balls and said ‘Look at the balls, what are they doing here?’
Mr S replied ‘ They are dancing.’ (He often replies with the odd bizarre comment)
WGO then replied, ‘No, they are not. They are sitting still ….. watching people.’
ROFL ROFL !!!!!
Then yesterday, the widdle poppet was building with Mr Potato Head. She was insistant it had a moustache. Once she had finally finished, she stood back and said ‘Look’s it’s Dad, It’s our Daddy.’
I took great joy in repeating that one to Mr S!!!!
Something that is really making me smile is the WEIRD dreams I am having. Last night’s was I was with the in laws at a party with Pamela Anderson (What the??) redesigning the bathroom (What the??) and I had to go to the emergency doctor because I was pulling all this stuff out of my nose, like a rubber band. I realised that WGO and Celtic Dingo had been jumping into bed with me through the night and sticking things up my nostrils.
No, do not try to interpret, there is none. REALLY. And no, I hadn’t eaten cheese, but I did have a curry.
And in an email :
One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, ‘My dear child, why are you crying?’ The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.
‘Is this your thimble?’ the Lord asked The seamstress replied, ‘No.’
The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.
‘Is this your thimble?’ the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, ‘No.’
The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.
‘Is this your thimble ?’ the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, ‘Yes.’
The Lord was pleased with the woman’s honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.
Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water.
When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, ‘Why are you crying?’ ‘Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!’
The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. ‘Is this your husband?’ the Lord asked.
‘Yes,’ cried the seamstress.
The Lord was furious. ‘You lied! That is an untruth!’ The seamstress replied, ‘Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said ‘no’ to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.
Then if I said ‘no’ to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said ‘yes,’ you would have given me all three. Lord, I’m not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT’S why I said ‘yes’ to George Clooney.
And so the Lord let her keep him.
The moral of this story is:
Whenever a woman lies, it’s for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it.
Signed,
All Women

PMSL at the email. And the dancing balls, or not dancing balls, watching balls. And the kids sticking things up your nose. Oh sorry, you said not to go there. But, you know, enquiring minds and all that, and then sometimes those enquiring minds explode cause they went somewhere that they shouldn’t. LOL

love how WGO’s mind travels.
I’m not taking any chances. I’m keeping my hubby away from all rivers from now on. Who knows who the Lord might pull out instead? Not sure I’m up to training someone new.

I have a bunch of leather things for the tag sale.
Maybe I should throw them in the river and see if I can get some gold.

Hey Sweetie! I’m sorry about the phone calls. Sounds like you have some sort of plan to deal with them in place? Hope they stop soon.
Love the George Clooney story…mmmm baby!
Oh…and want to talk about weird dreams? I had a dream once that I was keeping my dead mother’s body in the couch cushions and whenever I wanted to see her I’d go lift up a cushion on the couch and there she’d be! I woke up going WTF was THAT?
