Smiley Saturday and Silly Sunday ……. on Monday

Man, I am sluggish today.

Had a busy weekend, one that needs a 3rd day to recover !!!!

So busy, I spent widdle time on the computer.

So to catch up………

Silly Sunday

The idea of my bright, talented, funny, sweet widdle Oirish Lad.

So, some groan worthy silly things to ponder…….

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

If money doesn’t grow on trees then why do banks have branches?

Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round?

Why do you have to “put your two cents in”…but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts”? Where’s that extra penny going to?

Once you’re in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they “slept like a baby” when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

If you drink Pepsi at work in the Coke factory, will they fire you?

Why are you IN a movie, but you are ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

How come we choose from just two people for President and fifty for Miss America?

Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They’re going to see you naked anyway.

If a 911 operator has a heart attack, whom does he/she call?

Make sure you visit my boy.

Smiley Saturday

Smiley Saturday was started by Lightening Check out her weekly Saturday of smiles.

Alot to smile about really.

I started a project which is to keep the animals out of the house level (so no more pigs mating on the back porch and no more poultry using the paving stones as a toilet) I am quite pleased with what was achieved on the weekend. There is heaps more to do, and once the bank balance is looking healthy, I will finish it off. Mr Shamrock helped.

We also reset the pavers at the back door. I dug an area and laid a drainpipe to try and eliminate some of the rain water that pools there.

Once the fencing is completed, I will be planting hedges to give us a wind break. It was a wonderful sense of acheivement and something to smile about.

Pebbles the goose hopped off her nest for a forage. Looking into her nest, I counted 3 eggs, so in another fortnight, we should have at least 3 goslings (fingers crossed)

WGO is unwell, but being just a widdle poppet. She is unto jumping, and tapping. When she does it, she callsĀ  “Look Mummy, I’m dumping.” It is done with such joy and so carefree. She helps me constantly to view the world through innocent eyes. And it is such a beautiful thing to do.

My MIL, yes she gets another mention. Always smiley times when MIL come to visit.

Celtic Dingo: the changes keep happening. This has been a HUGE year of growth for CD. MIL even observed that he is not so frustrated. I am glad we did not medicate him. I am all for it when necessary, don’t get me wrong, and there have been times when it would have been so much more EASIER if we had, but then his brain would have been unable to naturally progress and develop. It has been a hard and tiring road and is by no means over, but to see breakthroughs is heartwarming and brings tears to my eyes. He is more focused and minimal meltdowns now. He still is extremely black and white where rules are concerned and once you make one allowance, it’s all over….. so we have to be quite anal retentive where rules are concerned with him. But we are moving forward. And that’s what matters.

Teen Shamrock turned 19 yesterday. My beautiful princess is now quite the young woman. She was born at 7.19pm and weighed 7lbs 15ozs and look like ET. We were being silly last night and I reenacted the birth process at the appropriate time. I think I have put her off having children for good. (My work here is done)

Mr Perfect, Teen Shamrock’s boyfriend, sent me this link:

Altar Bridge !!! Miles has a vocal range of 4 octaves and Mark is a DEMON on the guitar !!!

I have watched this many times. That and clips of Tim and Neil Finn.

I got my hair cut and coloured on Saturday morning. I have had this hairdresser now for 19 years. Him and I have a real laugh together, so it is always a time of being pampered and having a good laugh.

So that’s it from me, a bit late, but enjoyable nevertheless.

  3. Cool!

  4. You made me snort out loud today. My groan-worthy question of the day: Why can I ask for a piece of chicken, turkey, duck, or fish, but everyone shudders if I ask for a slice of cow?

  5. A great weekend. I love oirish lad’s jokes.
Can we see a photo of the new cut and colour?

I have a friend who is holidaying in NZ in a couple of weeks and I mentioned that I read a blog from a NZlander. Do you live in the north or south island? My friend will be visiting the north with her husband and daughter for our school holidays.

  6. With permission please? I’m going to pass on mama mara’s question. my girl, K, will get a laugh from that.

  7. Sounds like a great project and I like Silly Sunday. :) Thanks for joining us this week – always great to have you participate.

  8. Valid points on the Silly Sunay!

Keeping my fingers crossed for the eggs and hugs to your CD for all the progress!

Happy belated BD to your princess :) !
