I have spoilt myself in the last couple of weeks.
These are Split Enz posters I have had since 1982. Released in conjunction with the Time and Tide album. The Time and Tide concert was the first concert I had ever been to. I still have other posters too.
I had them mounted to protect their lifespan. The lady in the shop told me that by mounting them, they would lose value. I am not really bothered as I don’t see myself selling them anytime soon.
So they are now smiling down on me in the lounge.

The poster on the left is actually the back of the poster on the right !!!
Then we have books !!!!
As I may have mentioned I have a Supernatural addiction that I have passed on to the children. am a fan of Supernatural.

I am a member of an online fanbase, and I once made mention how I wish there was a book that covered all the lore and myths about the monsters and demons the Wincester boys kill.
TURNS OUT THERE IS SUCH A BOOK !!!!! Two actually. So I googled and found, here in NZ, they don’t stock the book on the shelves but order it in.

“The Supernatural Book of Monsters, Spirits, Demons and Ghouls” and “John Wincester’s Journal” are by Alex Irvine and if the kids hadn’t grabbed them first to read, I would tell you about them
And yes, that is a Robert Pattinson book. WGO is a bit of a fan don’t you know…….
Great idea on the posters! They have a lot of value to YOU, and that’s the big thing. Plus they look *awesome!*

If Supernatural gets our WGO off the pink obsession it has to be a good thing.

The resale value of mementos means nothing to me either. If I have pictures that mean a lot to me and want to keep them forever, I’ll have them laminated. Or I’ll put them in photo frames. I have a lovely framed picture of David Boreanaz that I clipped from a magazine years ago.

Mrs C ~ Thank you. YES, they have a lot of value to me. I can’t believe I have kept them in such good condition for 27 years !!!!
Anja ~ lol. If only it was that easy. WGO has a Daddy that indulges the pink obsession. He came home from Mitre 10 with a pink dustpan and brush that he insisted she HAD to have. I was like.Yeah, sure she did.
Mistress B ~ lol, but I’ve never been supernaturally certified …….. yet.
River ~ I don’t even think about reselling. I was given all my First Day Stamps that date back to 1967. The comment was made about how some of them would be worth a few dollars now. I was “But my Dad bought these for me.”
Jayne ~ Tee hee, yes, I remember it too. Strange how I can remember 27 years ago, yet can’t for the life of me can’t remember where I put the phone last night.
